A survey by Post Office shows that about 29% of long-haul travelers admitted touring India without insurance more than any other destination. The study also shows that 18% of people who visited India in the long-haul trip faced difficulty during their stay.

Other locations suggested by the study where people most likely travel without insurance include Dubai (23%), Kenya and Mauritius (22%) and Sri Lanka (21%).

21% and 23% of travelers who visited Mauritius and Sri Lanka respectively reported issues such as theft and injury. The study further pointed out that issues such as health, injury and theft arose most in locations such as India, the Indian Ocean, and Africa.
