Over the past two years, the young Cane Corso, Vita has gone through a lot of abuses and instability. Before being rescued, the dog has gone through three or four homes.

Even though she had a tough start in life, Lindsay Zomers said that she is sweet as they come and loves everyone she meets.

Until last month, the dog was being fostered by a staff member at Canine Adventure Den. The dog has been looking for a home for the past seven months and only had one adoption application but the interested party did not connect and so she is still looking.

“She should be placed with a calm, confident and tolerant large-breed male dog”, Zomers says.

When on a leash, Vita tends to have some reactivity issues. So, adopters will be provided with support if they are not experienced with somethings. The support includes complimentary Reactive Rover classes with a Certified Professional Dog Trainer.

Zomers further pointed out that Vita does not require an active home but rather an owner committed to helping her overcome her fears through reward-based training. Her adoption fee is $350.
