Read on to see if it's the right policy for you.
Prescription Drug Coverage with Flexcare ComboPlus Enhanced
What is the first thing that you want to look at in this Manulife Flexcare plan? What you can expect when it comes to your prescription drug coverage. You'll be able to get coverage for most name brand and generic prescription drugs.
Even better?
That coverage also includes birth control, as well as drugs that are designed to help with fertility. As long as the customary and dispensing fees are seen to be reasonable, you can also expect to get full coverage for them.
In fact, about 90% of the first $2,222 you spend on prescription drugs will be able to be covered. You'll get 100% coverage for the next $8,000. In a nutshell, this means that you will get about $10,000 in total coverage for your prescriptions per person, within a year of your anniversary of signing up for Flexcare by Manulife.
However, it's important that you understand that drugs to help you to stop smoking, drugs that don't require a prescription, and over-the-counter drugs are not covered by this plan.
It also will not be able to cover drugs that help with erectile dysfunction.
Understanding Dental Insurance with Flexcare ComboPlus Enhanced
The next thing we need to do is to make sure you understand what this popular Canada health insurance plan does and does not cover.
It's time to examine the way that the ComboPlus Enhanced plan covers you when it comes to dental insurance. You'll receive dental coverage when it comes to your cleanings, your fillings, and your scalings. You will also be able to get insurance coverage for polishing and certain types of extractions, as well as for more standard dental examinations.
You'll get a total of $920 payable to the person who is covered for the anniversary year of the plan. You'll also get recall visits once each six months.
Be aware that orthodontics works a little differently. This includes any bridges or crowns that you need to have put in, as well as any dentures you need to have made. You won't be able to receive those benefits until after Year Three of your coverage.
