Delta is a British Columbian city, located in the Greater Vancouver region, towards the south of Richmond. It is bordered to the south by the United States, to the east by the city of Surrey, and to the north by the Fraser River. The city of Delta is made up of three communities which include North Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen. The city was incorporated in 1879 and has a population of 102,238, making it the 51st most populated city in Canada.
The city of Delta is served by the Fraser Health Authority. The health authority funds community and home care and operates in Delta hospitals in Ladner. The city also has several parks, sports, and recreations, as well as arts and culture.
There are more than 70 developed park areas and natural reserves in the city. Some of the notable parks in the city include North Delta Outdoor Pool, Annieville Lions Park, Kin Village Community Center, Kennedy Seniors Recreation Center, Ladner Community Center, Ladner Harbor and so forth.
Delta also has a lot of cultural assets and arts. These include special events, cultural festivals, as well as local arts, performing arts and theaters. Some of the notable art centers and museums include Tsawwassen Arts Center, Delta Museum Annex, and so forth.
