There are many different types of plants and animals in Mexico. You'll see lots of towering palm trees and animals such as coyotes and parrots roaming the forests. 

Mexico has a warm climate, with Cancún being mostly tropical. Cancún experiences a dry season and a rainy season, rather than a winter and a summer.

Moon Palace The Grand is located in Cancún, Mexico. It's situated on the waterfront and has access to a beautiful private beach. 

The hotel is located just 7km from the Cancun Airport. You can easily take a taxi to get to the hotel or can book a rental car to make getting around the city easier. 

At the resort and at tourist destinations, you'll have no problem getting around without speaking Spanish. If you plan to visit places that are further off the beaten path, however, it's helpful to know some Spanish.

The restaurants are located all over the hotel property, with some being by the pool and others situated inside the hotel's main buildings. No matter where you dine, make sure to try chicken and mole!

There are three main bars at the Moon Palace The Grand Cancún. You can enjoy grabbing drinks at the swim-up bars in the Unique Day Club, sipping on cocktails while you dance at the Unique Night Club, or drinking top-shelf liquor at The Library.

No matter which bar you select, you'll be treated to outstanding service and strong drinks. Just make sure to try a Michelada, a Mexican twist on the classic Bloody Mary!

The private beach is one of the big attractions at the hotel. Relax and unwind by the seaside as you sip on cocktails from the beachside bar. 

Or, head over to one of the hotel's two freestyle pools with swim-up bars and relaxation areas. There's also a kids' pool for younger guests to splash around in!

If you want an adults-only experience, check out the Unique Day Club. This area has places where you can grab drinks and lounge by the water.

Do you want to get a workout in while staying in Cancún? Visit the hotel's fitness centre that's stocked with treadmills, strength machines, and exercise bikes.

You can participate in aerobics classes or join a yoga class to work up a sweat. Or, visit the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course or the Moon Palace Golf Academy. Both are great places to enjoy some time on the putting green!

If games are more your thing you can participate in volleyball or try your luck at bowling. You can also grab a bike and go for a ride around the resort or in town!

Or, head down to the oceanfront to enjoy kayaking, snorkelling, and boogie boarding. These are great ways to get some exercise while visiting Cancún!

One amazing amenity at this hotel is the onsite waterpark. Enjoy boogie boarding at the wave simulator, float on the lazy river, ride in the wave pool, or shoot down one of the waterslides!

No matter what activity you opt for, you're bound to have a day of fun in the water. Just keep in mind that the waterpark is only for guests taller than 36 inches or for some rides, 5"3 feet.

At night you can take part in tons of different activities. Head to the nightclub and dance your heart out to a mix of popular tunes and local music. 

You can also enjoy sitting down for a break in the cigar lounge. Just remember that these activities are for guests 18 years and older only. 

Aside from dancing, you can enjoy award-winning music, dance, and acrobatic performance. There are also kids' nights so that the little ones can enjoy the shows too!

If you love retro games then you'll have to head to the wired lounge. This lounge is an arcade packed full of all the classic games kids love such as pinball and Pacman. 

Kids ages 4-7 can head to the mezzanine playroom, while kids ages 8-17 will love the ground floor playroom.

These areas feature tons of fun activities, including neon mini-golf, bumper cars, a laser maze, interactive sports, a mirror maze, a sky trail, a time freak, and a three-floor labyrinth!

Tulum is a stunning historical site that you have to visit if you're going to go to Cancun. This site is a series of Mayan ruins located on cliffs overlooking the sparkling sea.

In Tulum, you can walk among the ruins and learn about what ancient Mayan life was like. You'll be able to observe palaces, temples, and more while wandering through this unique archeological site.

Chichen Itza is a pyramid located in the heart of the jungle. After a three-hour drive out of the city, you'll find yourself at this incredible historic site filled with ancient Mayan ruins. 

Take in the beautiful pyramid towering over the forest and walk among the buildings that once made up this ancient city. Check out the four cenotes surrounding the site and pick up some souvenirs from the local vendors.

A must-see in Cancún is Isla Mujeres. This little island is located off the coast of Cancún and can be reached by catamaran!

Your catamaran experience has an open bar and lunch included, as well as fun music and additional entertainment. Once you arrive at the island, you can rent a golf cart to take a tour of the island or simply relax on the sandy beach.

The Yal Ku Lagoon is a secret tropical paradise. This aquatic park is an area where you can snorkel and swim, checking out the beautiful ocean life. Observe starfish, barracuda, stingrays, and other amazing creatures as you paddle around this inlet.
